Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Administrator to join their growing team of retirement plan professionals. This role will focus on administering qualified retirement plans and providing exceptional service to plan sponsors and investment advisors.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling all aspects of retirement plan administration and will be comfortable communicating directly with clients regarding plan operations, design, and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with plan sponsors and investment advisors regarding plan operations, plan design, and administrative matters.
- Prepare and maintain retirement plan documents including amendments and restatements.
- Review census data including eligibility determinations and Key/HCE classifications.
- Perform asset reconciliation for retirement plans.
- Conduct compliance testing including ADP/ACP testing, coverage testing, nondiscrimination testing, and annual additions testing.
- Calculate employer and participant contributions as required by plan provisions.
- Prepare tax and compliance filings including Form 5500, Form 5330, and Form 8955-SSA.
- Assist plan sponsors with regulatory compliance and operational questions related to their retirement plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to plan administration activities.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure efficient and accurate administration of client plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retirement plan administration.
- Experience handling full A-Z administration of retirement plans preferred.
- Strong client service and communication skills with the ability to work directly with plan sponsors and advisors.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience using ASC and/or PensionPro software preferred but not required.
- ASPPA or NIPA designations preferred or willingness to obtain professional certifications.
