Position Title: Enrolled Actuary
*Remote or Onsite (Core business hours: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm PST)

Position Overview:

Our client, a well-established third-party retirement plan administration firm, is seeking an experienced Enrolled Actuary to support Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plans. This role will be responsible for actuarial administration and valuation services for approximately 250 small defined benefit and cash balance plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform actuarial valuations and administration for approximately 250 Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plans.
  • Sign off on Form 5500 Schedule SB filings (approximately 250 annually).
  • Review and certify actuarial calculations and compliance work.
  • Manage small-plan actuarial services and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate transition of outsourced actuarial work (approximately one year of overlap).
  • Utilize compliance and CRM systems to manage plan data and workflow.
  • Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory adherence across all assigned plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Enrolled Actuary (EA) designation required.
  • 3–5+ years of experience signing off as an Enrolled Actuary.
  • Experience handling Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plans.
  • Ability to sign off on approximately 250 Schedule SBs annually.
  • Experience with small-plan actuarial administration.
  • Datair compliance software experience preferred (training available).
  • Salesforce CRM experience preferred (training available).
  • Demonstrated career stability and long-term tenure.
