Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Distribution Associate to support the growing Distributions Department. This role will focus on managing retirement plan distribution processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with retirement plan distributions and familiarity with 3(16) fiduciary responsibilities. Candidates may come from either a third-party administrator (TPA) or recordkeeping background, with TPA experience preferred. This position offers strong potential for long-term career growth, as the organization prioritizes internal development and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage retirement plan distributions in accordance with regulatory and operational guidelines.
  • Review distribution requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with plan provisions and applicable regulations.
  • Support the administration of 3(16) fiduciary responsibilities related to distribution processing.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, plan sponsors, and service providers to ensure timely and accurate processing of distribution requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for all distribution transactions.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external partners regarding distribution requests and processes.
  • Assist with identifying and resolving issues related to distribution processing and participant requests.
  • Ensure operational procedures and service standards are followed consistently.
  • Contribute to the continued development and improvement of distribution workflows and processes as the department expands.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience working with retirement plan distributions.
  • Experience with 3(16) fiduciary responsibilities or compliance processes.
  • Background in retirement plan administration through a TPA or recordkeeper environment, with TPA experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in processing financial transactions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
