Position Title: Senior Retirement Plan Administrator
*Florham Park (Onsite preferred; Hybrid up to 2 days remote after initial onboarding period)
Position Overview:
Our client, an established independent retirement plan consulting firm, is seeking two experienced Senior Retirement Plan Administrators to manage a book of defined contribution plans. This is a hands-on A–Z administration role within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
The selected candidate will manage approximately 60–80 plans and serve as the primary contact for assigned clients. Ideal candidates bring deep, defined contribution experience, strong communication skills, and a desire for long-term career growth within a stable organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle (A–Z) administration of 60–80 defined contribution retirement plans.
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned client relationships.
- Prepare annual compliance testing and related reporting.
- Oversee plan amendments and ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding plan operations and regulatory matters.
- Utilize administration systems to manage plan workflow and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure service consistency.
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend plan adjustments when appropriate.
- Maintain detailed documentation and accurate plan records.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 8+ years of defined contribution A–Z plan administration experience.
- Experience managing own book of business.
- DC/DB combo experience preferred but not required.
- FTW experience preferred.
- ASPPA credentials preferred but not required.
- Strong working knowledge of retirement plan compliance requirements.
- Experience in a TPA or retirement consulting environment preferred.
