Senior Retirement Plan Administrator

Position Title: Senior Retirement Plan Administrator
*Florham Park (Onsite preferred; Hybrid up to 2 days remote after initial onboarding period)

Position Overview:

Our client, an established independent retirement plan consulting firm, is seeking two experienced Senior Retirement Plan Administrators to manage a book of defined contribution plans. This is a hands-on A–Z administration role within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

The selected candidate will manage approximately 60–80 plans and serve as the primary contact for assigned clients. Ideal candidates bring deep, defined contribution experience, strong communication skills, and a desire for long-term career growth within a stable organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle (A–Z) administration of 60–80 defined contribution retirement plans.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned client relationships.
  • Prepare annual compliance testing and related reporting.
  • Oversee plan amendments and ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding plan operations and regulatory matters.
  • Utilize administration systems to manage plan workflow and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure service consistency.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and recommend plan adjustments when appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and accurate plan records.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8+ years of defined contribution A–Z plan administration experience.
  • Experience managing own book of business.
  • DC/DB combo experience preferred but not required.
  • FTW experience preferred.
  • ASPPA credentials preferred but not required.
  • Strong working knowledge of retirement plan compliance requirements.
  • Experience in a TPA or retirement consulting environment preferred.
