Relius Pension Administrator-Remote

Position Title: Relius Pension Administrator

Position Overview:

Our client, a growing full-service retirement plan consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Pension Administrator with strong Daily Valuation and Relius expertise. This role supports a broad mix of plan types, including 401(k), Profit Sharing, 403(b), Cash Balance, and Defined Benefit plans.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on A–Z administration experience and deep proficiency in the Relius Administration System, including Form 5500 preparation and document work. This position offers strong career development opportunities within a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle administration for assigned retirement plans.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, advisors, and professional partners.
  • Perform trust accounting and cash/share reconciliations.
  • Determine eligibility, vesting, and reconcile census data.
  • Prepare Forms 5500 and related government filings using Relius.
  • Perform compliance testing (ADP/ACP, 410(b), 401(a)(4), 402(g), 416, 415).
  • Calculate employer contributions including cross-tested and permitted disparity formulas.
  • Prepare quarterly management reports and participant statements.
  • Review plan document provisions and assist with plan design updates.
  • Monitor daily activity including payroll, distributions, and participant inquiries.
  • Calculate Required Minimum Distributions and review 1099-R reporting.
  • Review and calculate QDROs.
  • Prepare Voluntary Compliance Program filings as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 4+ years of retirement plan administration experience.
  • Strong A–Z TPA experience.
  • Expert-level experience with Relius Administration System required.
  • Experience with Relius Form 5500 and document preparation required.
  • Experience with daily recordkeeping plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA regulations and plan document provisions.
  • Experience working in a consulting TPA environment preferred.
