Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Business Development Representative to support sales growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients. This role focuses on outbound prospecting and lead generation to create new opportunities for the sales team.
The Business Development Representative plays an important role in expanding the company’s pipeline by researching potential clients, initiating contact through multiple outreach channels, and scheduling consultation meetings with qualified prospects. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, competitive, and comfortable working in a high-activity sales environment where performance and results are rewarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential clients within the target market.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, email outreach, and other lead generation strategies.
- Communicate the value of the company’s services clearly and effectively to prospective clients.
- Qualify leads using predefined criteria and schedule meetings for the sales team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospect interactions within the CRM system.
- Track and report prospecting metrics including outreach volume, response rates, and conversion results.
- Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure smooth transitions of qualified prospects.
- Work with the marketing team to support prospecting campaigns and outreach strategies.
- Meet or exceed established prospecting activity targets including calls, emails, and meetings scheduled.
- Continuously refine outreach methods based on data and feedback to improve conversion results.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve prospecting strategies and sales performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in direct sales or demonstrated success in a sales-focused environment.
- Highly self-motivated with strong discipline and the ability to maintain high activity levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent phone presence and ability to conduct virtual sales conversations.
- Competitive and goal-oriented mindset with a strong drive for results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment and manage multiple prospecting activities.
- Willingness to pursue the Series 65 license after approximately six months in the role.
