Position: Financial Advisor (IL).

Job Description:

We are seeking a Financial Advisor with a recent CFP designation for a client-focused position. This role primarily involves managing client accounts and executing trades, with no sales responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build rapport with clients and engage effectively in ongoing client interactions. Additionally, the successful applicant will benefit from mentorship under the firm’s owner, ensuring support and professional development. We are looking for someone personable and outgoing, rather than a traditional salesperson or an introvert, to foster strong, trusting relationships with clients. This opportunity could grow to take over the firm’s book.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships while delivering comprehensive financial planning advice.
  • Conduct thorough portfolio and financial planning reviews to assess client needs and objectives.
  • Manage relationships with retirement plan clients, providing tailored advice and support.
  • Establish and maintain meaningful, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Oversee and manage client investments to align with their financial goals.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certification as a CFP is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated client-facing experience.
  • Preference for candidates who are not focused on business development, as all business is generated through client referrals.
  • Local candidates only; the position requires five days in the office.

Skills Required:

  • Financial Expertise: In-depth knowledge of investment management, retirement strategies, estate conservation, tax management, and insurance review.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Ability to assess clients' unique financial situations and aspirations to tailor personalized financial programs.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in explaining complex financial concepts clearly and understandably to clients.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and develop effective strategies that align with client goals.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building skills to foster trust and rapport with clients.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify challenges and provide innovative solutions in personal finance.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing financial documents and developing comprehensive plans.
  • Commitment to Education: Eagerness to stay updated on financial regulations and industry trends to provide informed guidance.
