Job Description:
We are seeking a candidate with strong hands-on compliance experience, specifically in testing and forms, with a minimum of five years in the field. The ideal candidate will have experience managing audit-sized larger plans and performing employer calculations. Familiarity with the four allocation methods—Standard Allocation Method, Permitted Disparity Method, Age-Based Method, and New Comparability Method—is essential, with a preference for candidates who have experience with the New Comparability Method, as this expertise commands a higher level of proficiency. Compliance position that has an advanced understanding of all plan types and facilitates more complex interactions with the Plan Consultants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and execute compliance tasks effectively for the Compliance Associate role.
- Read and comprehend retirement plan provisions from plan documents and summaries, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Understand and apply relevant legislation, including IRS, DOL, and ERISA guidelines, in the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of information.
- Assist with DOL, IRS, and large plan audits.
- Support Plan Consultants in resolving operational and compliance issues related to qualified plans.
- Manage plan administration, compliance, and testing for designated business segments.
- Track job progress to ensure timely data collection and adherence to compliance deadlines.
- Prepare annual valuation and compliance reports for clients.
- Collaborate with Plan Consultants to draft plan documents, amendments, and other legal materials.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Protect and properly handle all confidential data to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.
- Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3 – 5+ years of prior ERISA experience in the retirement industry is preferred.
- 3 – 5+ years of experience in analysis of financial data required.
Skills Required:
- Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks, and meet in connection with business operations, including related ERISA compliance matters.
- Associate holds Retirement Plan Fundamentals certification upon meeting eligibility requirements.
- QKA designation preferred.
- Involvement or work toward associates' QPA designation is preferred.
- Prior experience with plan administration software, i.e. ASC, Relius, or FT Williams.
