Regional Vice President

Job Description:

The Regional Vice President (RVP) is responsible for driving retirement plan sales growth by building strong relationships with Financial Professionals, TPAs, RIAs, and DC I/O Firms. This role involves promoting our product offerings as well as those of our alliance partners, providing expert guidance during the prospecting stage, and supporting Financial Professionals through sales calls and consultations. The ideal candidate will be based in the Washington, D.C. area and thrive in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leverage strong ERISA and plan design knowledge to support Financial Professionals and drive retirement plan sales.
  • Educate Financial Professionals on industry trends and best practices for DC-focused strategies.
  • Assist Financial Professionals with a needs analysis to recommend the most appropriate platform or product solution.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of key competitors and effectively communicate our competitive advantages.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with Financial Professionals to secure retirement plan business.
  • Coordinate wholesaling efforts with Ascensus Internal Sales Coordinators (ISCs) and ASC Internals for maximum impact.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technical knowledge, and product updates, while completing required reports and tasks.
  • Conduct at least 60 meetings per month, including 45 with Financial Professionals, and document all meetings in CRM.
  • Develop and manage a "Top 150" Financial Professionals list to optimize territory coverage and engagement.
  • Advice on Fiduciary [3(21)] Solutions, investment expenses, and the impact of various mutual fund share classes on plan costs.
  • Support existing clients and Financial Professionals in retaining and servicing current retirement plans as needed.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with DCIO firms to promote our solutions to Financial Professionals.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • 7-10 years of experience in the retirement plan industry or 3-5 years experience in a wholesaling role in the retirement plan industry.
  • Bachelors Degree.

Skills Required:

  • Proven successful sales experience in full-service defined contribution recordkeeping and administrative services.
  • Overnight travel is required.
  • Superior time management skills are required.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment.
  • Series 6 and 63 (or the ability to obtain within six months of employment).
